The Chartist – Social Media

Project description

The Chartist is a share market trading education and service helping everyday traders to fund their future through systematic trading strategies that are proven to deliver long-term growth. With a steady flow of written content already being produced and shared to the blog by the client, and after completing a website and brand refresh with Sage PR & Marketing, The Chartist recognised the need for a cohesive content strategy to amplify their voice and effectively promote their offerings across social media.

What we did

Sage PRM managed The Chartist’s online brand communications and social media presence. As one of the industry pioneers, we set out to rebuild The Chartist’s market positioning by establishing a cohesive online brand voice focused on easy-to-understand education, making the brand relevant and approachable. Through account management of its three owned social media channels (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn) the primary objectives were to clearly define The Chartist’s offering to online audiences, stand out as experts in the competitive space, increase web traffic and lead conversion. We did this by creating valuable, timely and insightful content that educates, inspires and engages. Over 12 months, the result was a dramatic increase in performance goals across channels, along with steady organic growth month-on-month.

Organic Social Media Strategy

Sage PRM developed and executed end-to-end content and communications across three key platforms, from content strategy to copywriting, creative and community management. Our work included the conceptualisation and production of visually compelling content (video, animation, and graphics), tailored copywriting aligned with brand messaging and audience insights, as well as publishing, real-time monitoring, and detailed performance reporting. We also led community management efforts, actively fostering engagement, responding to audience interactions, and building meaningful connections to strengthen brand presence and loyalty.

Email Communications

Strategic email campaigns were developed to help promote an EOFY sale, targeting current members and warm leads with the intent to drive sales and conversions.

What we achieved
  • Organic reach saw a massive year on year increase of 281K+ on Facebook, up by 8100% percent, content interactions shot up by almost 500%, link clicks rose dramatically by 1100% and the page saw a 40% increase in new followers.
  • Social channels saw a significant increase in page visits, with an increase of up to 77% across the three major owned channels.
  • Instagram recorded an increase of 100% on link clicks and engagements year on year, with reach up by 6,600%.
  • Organic impressions reached 16,000 on LinkedIn with consistent and continuous organic follower growth month-on month.
  • In addition to the above activity, Sage also assisted The Chartist with an EOFY promotional offer through strategic messaging development and email marketing. The campaign successfully engaged current members and re-engaged past leads through a targeted multi-channel campaign, including social media and email direct marketing (EDM). EDM performance metrics demonstrated strong interest from existing members, with click-through rates significantly surpassing other emails to the same audience. The campaign resulted in significant sales, increasing customer lifetime value.
